THE FAMOUS CARNIVAL, CORRALEJO-FUERTEVENTURA

Year after year in the month of February, the Canarian people take to the streets to celebrate the famous Carnival of the Canary Islands -considered one of the best carnivals in the world- where joy, color, music and the desire to have fun merge with the aim that children and adults can enjoy the magical and festive atmosphere that they were waiting for.

The Carnival of the Canary Islands is mainly characterized by the celebration of the finery of the queens of the carnival – colorful balloons where the candidates for queens parade with great costumes of feathers and sequins -, by the comparsas and murgas – groups of friends who sing songs generally critical, audacious and with a great sense of humor- and for the carnival in the street and the mogollones -which are the heart of the party when people go out to the street to show off their costume to the rhythm of the music.
